Randall P. Fish Sr.
The great unsung hero and a friend to many, Randall P. “Randy” Fish Sr., 54, of Damon Court, Keene, passed away suddenly at his home in Keene on Monday, March 5, 2018.
His parents, Martha J. (Paige) and Ronald Paul Fish Sr., proudly welcomed their son into the world on July 27, 1963, in Keene.
Randy worked for many years as a roofer, first with Fish Roofing, then with Al Fauteaux Roofing, and recently with Melanson Company, all in Keene. He also worked with GSIL in Keene. He was a very hard worker and life found him the happiest when he was working.
His perfect day would find him at work, and later at home with his family, caring for his brother, Ricki, and relaxing with a cold beer. He was a hero to everyone, with the biggest of hearts.
Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing; listening to classic rock and old country music; and tinkering with cars. He also enjoyed playing softball in the men’s softball league, playing on the West Swanzey Athletic Association and Fish Roofing teams.
After a lifetime of smoking, Randy finally stopped, just 10 days prior to his passing.
He will be greatly missed by many, especially his four children, Stephanie M. Mattson of Royalston, Mass., Randall P. Fish Jr. and his fianceé, Christina Hill, of Keene, Robie P. Fish Sr. and his wife, Felicia, of Keene, Krystal Sue Fish and her fiancé, Clifford Hudson, of Swanzey; his 10 grandchildren, Kiara, Collin, Avah, Julius, Robie Jr., Alaya, Marley, Clifford III, Sunner and Journee; three brothers, Ronald P. Fish Jr. of West Swanzey, Ricki P. Fish Sr. of Keene and Russell P. Fish of West Swanzey; a sister, Lisa J. Lamoureux and her husband, James, of Gilsum; 11 nieces and nephews; and the mothers of his children, Lorenda Duquette of Keene and Bobbi Jo Mattson of Royalston, Mass.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m. in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court St., Keene. Burial will be in the spring in the Oak Hill Cemetery, West Swanzey. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Foley Funeral Home.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Randy’s memory to The Community Kitchen, P.O. Box 1315, Keene, NH 03431.
