The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has stocked a combined 333 tons of fish in the state's waters so far this year, according to a news release.
Staff members made 381 trips to about 800 stocking sites including the Great Lakes and inland rivers and lakes.
The year's total is 21,116,476 fish including rainbow trout, chinook salmon and seven other fish species and one hybrid.
In St. Clair County, the DNR stocked 134,783 fish:
- April 12: Belle River at Big Hand Road, 7,616 rainbow trout
- May 10: Black River, 28,461 brown trout
- May 10: Black River, 15,107 brown trout
- May 17: Black River, 12,699 brown trout
- April 11: Mill Creek in Yale, 10,400 rainbow trout
- May 9: St. Clair River at Algonac, 60,500 brown trout
In Sanilac County, the DNR stocked 108,860 fish:
- April 26: Lexington Harbor, 37,781 Atlantic salmon
- April 9: Lexington Harbor, 16,000 rainbow trout
- April 9: Lexington Harbor, 15,079 rainbow trout
- April 19: Lexington Harbor, 10,000 rainbow trout
- April 10: Port Sanilac, 15,000 rainbow trout
- April 10: Port Sanilac, 15,000 rainbow trout
